There are people who wash their hands a lot, according to some.  I also wash my hands to excess, as per others.  And, I use a paper towel, or tissue, or something when I open a public door, and if I have nothing with me I might use my shirttail.  I have this tube of antibacterial hand cleaner in my handbag or my pocket ‘at all times’ just to be on the safe side, to clean my hands if I didn’t have a tissue, etc. 

This reminds me of a hand washing incident ~ mine!

When I was working at the psychiatrist’s office and was spotted coming back from the restroom with a paper towel in my hand that I had used to open the door as I came into the office, the doctor teased me about being obsessive-compulsive with my hand cleaning.  I proudly said, “Well if it needs a name, I guess that would be it!” 

And I might add, rather proudly, I have very few colds, etc., even during times when ‘the bug’ is going around.  So, I rest my case!
