Once upon a time ...

A Forgotten Mother Goose Story:

One day, long, long ago, there lived a woman who did not whine, nag, or bitch.

The new baby is Arbor Douglas.

The first photo is Arbor being held by his sister, Autumn and brother Adriano is looking on asking, "can I hold him, please.?"  Autumn is 6-1/2, Adriano is 4-1/2, and in this photo Arbor is six hours old.

I apologize for the lateness and quality of these photos and I hope to do better next time; but it is obvious that I need help with this stuff!!!

Beach party time!

haveagreatdayatthebeachossiejpg.jpg have a great day at the beach picture by aauntconi

I missed my time at the beach this winter...

wish we could go wading in the water soon!

The stork has landed … we have a new addition to the family!

A boy! He is 9 pounds, 7 ounces, 21.5 inches and lots of dark hair ~ adorable!

His name is Arbor Douglas ~ ~ ~

He arrived on March 1, 2009 @ 1:36 and not a minute too soon … as his mother was bursting at the seams and was glad he decided to finally make his appearance.  I took the 6 and 4 y/o children down to the hospital see their new brother about 6:00 p.m. and everyone was so happy to see him and we each took a turn holding him.  The 4-y/o said, after about five minutes, and lots of camera flashes, “Okay, Daddy, I’ve had enough of this!”  He didn’t like sitting in the chair so long.

I have enjoyed my stay at their home awaiting this joyous occasion, but it will soon be time for me to return to my own home ~ and if I may say so, not a bit too soon!  The pace of a young family wears out this grammy!  I loved every minute of it, but my own space is smaller and easier to navigate and I don’t have so many stairs to climb.

I forgot my camera and will have to await copies from others ~ so, photos to follow!
