Did you miss me?
Well I am back home again. I was away for several days ~ but I bet no one even missed me either, did you? Oh well, such is life…
I was at my sister’s house to celebrate a birthday party. All had a good time and there were many, many giggles … along with good food and birthday cake and ice cream, and excellent coffee. In my case the coffee was like a second dessert.
The downside of the trip was dealing with family members who are out of work, unable to find work in this economy and so are in the process of losing their homes. I feel so bad and there is nothing I can do; not that they expected me to either, but it is so hard not to want to fix things for loved ones.
It seems I am hearing many more difficult situations of ‘hard times’ and I don’t like it!!! I am not alone, as I know many of you have heard the same tales of woe!
It seems that all I can do is to bake something ~ a cake, some cookies, maybe I'll make a batch of brownies ~ and a ‘big’ pot of coffee of course!
Stop by for something good to eat, with fresh coffee too!

I really missed you AC, So sad to hear about the hard times and people losing their homes. It is happening all over.
Well those brownies look delicious, I will sit and have a slice or two with some of your delicious coffee.

I enjoyed that wacky weed you baked in the brownies!
It's scary the way so many are losing their homes and the financial portfolios of everyone are dwindling. I hope the economy starts to rebound sooner rather than later.

I was on a mini vacation - visiting me Captain Hook's couzin - the visit was just the break I needed and the coffee and brownies were the icing on the cake! :D
