I am having a great time ...
Glider time again .... gotta love it!
I can hardly wait for next summer.
So just for the heck of it (and because I was invited) I am at Emerging's home in Des Moines enjoying the company of she and her family ... and the glider I posted about earlier.

We have been sitting outside most every night this week, with a bonfire going to add to the ambience, and warm the area a bit, but actually we didn't need the fire for heat, just the glow of the fire ~ it is so nice.
I am so enjoying having another great visit here in the Des Moines area with friends ~ it is very nice!
I'll see y'all in tblog land in a bit as we have some more fun things to do while I am here.

That looks like fun. Have you tried rocking it really, really fast, to see how furiously you can get it going before it tumbles over? Just a thought...

Well, when I'm on it by myself I really get it rocking ... I mean 'really rocking' ... but so far it has not tipped over. Me thinks surrogate has the pattern down perfectly ~ but I'm still checking it out :)
Out of courtesy to the others who might be present at the same time I do not rock it as I do not want to make anyone 'uncomfortable' ... if you get the drift ... but as soon as they go inside for another cup of coffee, or cola, I really get it going ... Oh, I do love it~~~

You are right, rosie ~ seven more months to go for summer.
But here in Iowa we are having a last hurrah before the cold settles in ~ I think we picked a perfect time for a visit in order to be able to sit outside and enjoy the fall weather, complete with campfire, drink of choice, and the fellowship of friends ~ perfection!

AC, I didn't see any mention here of how we make you work like a slave "for fun". OK, we don't MAKE you do it, but my kitchen is as clean as it was when we moved in. You're a fabulous house guest.

Hey, I am not her son. I keep trying to get her to adopt me, but she callously refuses.
We are having a good time though.
Sunday morning, I'm going to drag her out of bed at an un-Godly hour and we're heading back to Grand Rapids. Even so, she'll get more rest on the way home that we've given here all week here. We DO treat her like a slave here, E's right.
And in fact, if Connie gives me any more lip, I'm telling E to cut off her bread and water.

I could see surrogates fingerprints all over that glider, Man!! it really looks like the life of Riley!!! and fun...wish I was there!! What a fabulous difference friends make...how could we possibly live without them?

We had a great time and the weather was perfect. Perhaps the last of the mild weather before the cold of winter sets in.
